My GE TFX27PR refrigerator is not cooling?
My TFX27PR has been collecting water on the freezer floor for several months now. I break the ice up and the refrigerator/freezer goes on working, no problems. During this time the ice dispenser has also been getting clogged with frost, ice, etc.
Now this past weekend the refrigerator stopped cooling. Well, not completely. It’s maybe 55-60 degrees I’m guesssing. I don’t know whether leak/defrost issue has anything to do with it not cooling but that’s the background anyway.
My wife mentioned what was going on to an industrial refrigeration contractor working in her office building and he said it might be the defrost thermostat. Does this make sense and if so, how would I go about getting one and is it difficult to install?

it does sound like the defrost thermostat is going,but i would not try to do that job unless you know what you are doing.
